Important update: Adjustments to the Message Retention Period

This information is addressed to all Teamwire customers and channel partners.


With the latest Teamwire Dashboard update, we have reworked an important feature.

 

With immediate effect, the Teamwire app will sync the complete period defined in the "Client message retention". This setting is available in the Dashboard under App Permissions > Data Loss Prevention > Message Retention Period. To apply this rule, the Teamwire app requires a proper synchronization. Please ask your users to log out and back in.

 

💭 Please note that setting a longer retention period may result in a longer synchronization time when logging into the Teamwire app.

 

To prevent extraordinary waiting times during the login, we had to remove the "Always" option.

 

💡 All customers which had the option "Always" defined in their settings, have been set to the default value of "90 days".

 

You are, of course, free to adjust this setting to better suit your needs.

 

The message retention period on the server has not been changed. The "Always" option is still available here, allowing you to archive your entire chat history.
